FAQ's

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

Weekly orders can be placed through my HotPlate Website for porch delivery to the Watertown and Brookings areas. Orders are due on Sundays for Wednesday afternoon delivery. If a different day works better, I can do my best to accommodate!

BULK & SPECIAL EVENT ORDERS

For larger or custom orders, just submit a special request through our form with details like quantity, flavors, and event date. I’ll confirm what’s possible, provide a quote, and arrange pickup or delivery. All bulk orders are baked fresh for your event — the earlier you request, the better!

DO YOU OFFER GLUTEN FREE OR VEGAN OPTIONS?

At this time, all of our baked goods contain gluten, dairy, and eggs. We do not offer gluten-free or vegan options.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY BAKED GOODS?

Sourdough loaves and bread are best stored in a paper bag at room temperature for up to 3 days, or frozen for longer storage. Cookie cakes and cookies can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for several days.

DO YOUR BAKED GOODS CONTAIN NUTS OR OTHER ALLERGENS?

Yes, some of our products, such as banana nut muffins and white chocolate macadamia cookies, contain nuts. Please be aware that cross-contamination is possible, as our kitchen processes common allergens like tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, soy, wheat, milk, fish, and crustacean shellfish.

In compliance with South Dakota cottage food laws, all products are labeled with the following disclaimer:

"This product was not produced in a commercial kitchen. It has been home-processed in a kitchen that may also process common food allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, soy, wheat, milk, fish, and crustacean shellfish."
